Delete pages from a PDF

Name the pages you want gone. Blank scanner pages, a cover sheet, the fax confirmation at the end. What remains is copied across untouched.

Result

Deleting removes pages, not the content of pages

This is worth being precise about, because people sometimes reach for a page delete when what they actually want is redaction. Removing page four removes the whole sheet. It does not remove a paragraph from page three, and it does not scrub anything hidden in the document metadata. If you need to take sensitive text off a page that you intend to keep, no page-level tool can help; the text must be covered and the page flattened to an image first.

The pages you keep are copied as complete objects, so their fonts, images and vector content survive exactly as they were. File size drops roughly in proportion to what you removed.

Common questions

How do I delete the first page of a PDF?

Type 1 and press the button. To remove the last page instead, use its number, which the panel on the right shows you as soon as the file loads.

Can I undo it?

Your original file is never modified. The tool produces a new document for you to download, so the undo is simply not saving over the original.

What if I want to keep only a few pages?

Then it is easier to work the other way round with split PDF, where you name the pages to keep rather than the ones to lose.
