Resize a PDF to A4
A document assembled from several sources often has pages of different sizes, which prints badly and looks worse. This scales every page onto one paper size, centred, with the proportions kept.

Scaling, not stretching
A4 and US Letter are not the same shape. A4 is narrower and taller; Letter is wider and shorter. Converting between them therefore cannot fill the page exactly, and any tool that claims to do so without cropping is stretching your content. This one scales each page until it fits inside the new sheet and centres it, which leaves a thin band along one pair of edges. That is the correct trade: nothing is distorted and nothing is cut off.
Pages are embedded as whole objects rather than redrawn, so text stays selectable and vector graphics stay sharp at any zoom.
Common questions
Why does my document print with the edges cut off?
Usually because the content runs closer to the edge than the printer can reach. Add a small margin here, five millimetres is generally enough, and the whole page will land inside the printable area.
Does this make the file smaller?
Not meaningfully. It changes page geometry, not the content, so the size stays roughly where it was. For a real reduction see compress PDF.
Can I convert A4 to letter without losing anything?
Yes, that is exactly what fitting does. The content is scaled down by about four percent and centred. Nothing is lost, and at that scale nothing is noticeable either.
